Hey everyone, is anyone else having trouble with Verizon, specifically FIOS, this morning? I'm located in the northeast US and have noticed a lot of home users reporting very strange connection issues. I've seen a spike on DownDetector and am curious if anyone else is experiencing this or has any insight. Just did a tracert on some home users' computers and noticed some routing issues, so it seems like something is definitely going on.

I did a tracert to www.verizon.com and saw a lot of timeouts. Their technical support was aware of the issue when I called, but it took them forever to admit there's a problem. Some internal source mentioned a major outage with no ETA yet.
Yeah, it looks like there's a dead route on one of the backbones, possibly in NYC. I've seen a lot of complaints from others in the region.
I checked and haven't found any official confirmation about this, but it seems like a widespread issue across the Northeast.
I’m in Central MA, and I'm having similar problems. Most sites are loading fine, but some are completely inaccessible. I tried different DNS settings with no luck; however, I can access those sites when I hotspot from my AT&T phone. It seems like it's mainly login pages that are affected, like for banking and school.
Same here in Boston, Steam and some other sites were down, but they seem to be working now.
I'm in Rhode Island and having issues with streaming and connecting to live TV. Wi-Fi is hit or miss—some things load, others don’t. Not sure what's going on but sounds like a common problem.
Ugh, same here. I can't connect to PlayStation network at all since this morning!
I’ve got the same problem in New England—can reach some sites but not others; definitely seems linked to FIOS.
