Anyone else facing error 0x800701B1 when transferring large files to SSD?

I recently got a 1TB Lexar SATA SSD. At first, everything was fine while transferring big files, but then I started encountering the 0x800701B1 error. I thought it was a faulty unit and exchanged it for a new one, but I'm still experiencing the same issue. Small file transfers and saving work without a hitch, but transferring larger files triggers this error. I formatted the drive to NTFS instead of FAT32 since that's a known issue, but I'm still stuck. Any advice?

It could also be related to how you're connecting the SSD. Are you using a SATA cable directly to the motherboard or a USB to SATA converter? Direct connections usually have better performance.

Hmm, the FAT32 format can’t handle files over 4GB, but since you’ve already set it to NTFS, that’s good. One thing to check is whether there’s something wrong with the SSD itself. Have you tried using CrystalDiskInfo to see its health status?

You might want to try formatting it to exFAT just to see if that resolves the issue. Sometimes it works better with larger files compared to NTFS for certain setups.
