I've been running into problems accessing a network computer using the new File Explorer in Windows 11 (version 24H2). When I try to navigate to the network location using `\PCNAMEC$`, nothing happens. However, if I use a workaround by typing `Control Panel` in the address bar and then going to `C:`, I can access the network location and get prompted for credentials like normal. Once I connect this way, I can use the new File Explorer to access that PC again without issues. This is also happening on our test VMs, so I'm starting to worry that there might be a bug in the OS. Has anyone else experienced this?

I've been dealing with this same issue for a while on Windows 11. Interestingly, it usually works if I try to access the network location a second time. It's really frustrating! It could be a DNS issue or something with extra authentication messing things up, though.
I haven't had any issues at all; it works perfectly for me every time. Maybe it's an isolated problem?
Yeah, I get it! After a few drinks, I wouldn't be surprised if you miss some settings. Double-checking DNS settings might help identify where the hang-up is.
