Are All Power Supply Brands Created Equal?

I'm curious about whether there's a real difference between power supply brands. Is it just about the wattage, or do brand quality and model make a difference in performance? Also, can I over-spec my power supply for future upgrades? For instance, is it okay to use a 1200W supply when my system only needs 800W?

Absolutely, there's a significant difference between power supply brands! Check the tier list for PSUs; aiming for at least a B+ rating is crucial for keeping your setup safe. A good power supply can literally save your PC and even prevent potential fire hazards. Look into reputable options!

I saw that list too! I’m considering the ASUS ROG STRIX 1000W Platinum; it seems like a solid choice for future-proofing.
