Hey everyone! I've been hearing a lot about the 9800X3D CPUs dying while using ASRock motherboards. Is there evidence that these boards are responsible for these failures? I'm about to upgrade my system and was considering the ASRock B650M or the MSI PRO B650-S WIFI. Should I be worried about compatibility or reliability with ASRock?

ASRock's newer boards (those with the 800 series chipset) look like they might have issues, but some users report that their B650s are fine. It's tricky, so just do some research and monitor updates from them.
Where I live, ASUS has cleaned up their act. I went for an X870E-E and it's been fantastic! No issues, smooth overclocking, and good performance. I'd say that’s a safer bet.
Honestly, if you want a sure thing, I'd advise against ASRock for the 9800X3D. Stick with brands like ASUS that have better reputations. My ASUS X870-A has been solid without any problems at all.
There seems to be general problems with ASRock managing the 9800X3D, while other CPUs like the 7800X3D work just fine on different brands. I’d definitely steer clear of ASRock with this generation, especially since they haven’t been very communicative about it.
I read somewhere that even with updates, problems keep popping up. It’s risky to guess if they’ve fixed it.
