I've been experiencing blue screens frequently, especially while gaming on titles like Fortnite and Minecraft. When I have just Google Chrome open with 7 tabs, Spotify, and Discord running, I'm getting these temperatures: My CPU, an Intel Core i5-11400F, sits around 50-54°C at idle or under light load. My GPU temperatures range from 39-51°C. The fan speeds are about 1000 RPM. For power and clock performance, my CPU power varies from 20W when idle to about 77W when under load, with clock speeds mostly hovering between 4.2-4.4 GHz. Here are my full specs:
- CPU: Intel Core i5-11400F
- Cooler: Thermaltake UX100 ARGB
- Motherboard: ASUS PRIME B560M-A
- RAM: 32GB (4x8GB) Crucial Ballistix
- Storage: 1TB XPG GAMMIX S20G and an additional 1TB drive
- GPU: ZOTAC GeForce RTX 3070 Twin
- Case: NZXT H400i (Black/Red)
- PSU: FSP Hyper K 700W A PFC

Wow, I hit 93-100°C when playing Fortnite too! It’s a common issue with gaming, but I’m curious what cooler you have. Might be worth looking into your cooling options like others mentioned.
Have you considered replacing the thermal paste? Sometimes that can make a big difference in temps, especially if it’s not been changed for a while.
Your idle temps seem a bit high to me. That cooler you have is more for looks than performance, to be honest. I’d suggest upgrading to a 240 or 280 AIO cooler or getting a good tower cooler like one from Noctua. You didn’t mention your CPU temps while gaming, which would help clarify things further. The GPU temps look solid, though, and your CPU power usage appears to be in a good range.
When I game, I hit around 93-100°C, which seems intense to me.
I was thinking about switching to the Assassin X 120 Refined SE ARGB myself, could be a solid option!
