Hey everyone! I'm checking in about the temperatures I'm seeing with my AMD Ryzen 7800X3D while running the Kombustor burning test. Here's what I've observed: my CPU idles around 40-50°C, spikes to about 70-75°C during gaming and lighter tests, but hits 87°C when I run the Kombustor. I'm using an MSI MAG A13 360mm AIO cooler, so I expected my temps to be a bit lower even under heavy load. Is 87°C considered acceptable for the 7800X3D during these stress tests?

Yeah, the thermal limits for your CPU is around 95°C before it starts throttling, so 87°C in a torture test like Kombustor is actually not bad at all! Keep enjoying your rig!
You're totally fine! A lot of folks underestimate how hot modern CPUs can get. Many will see 80°C+ under heavy stress tests, so don’t worry too much about it. Just keep an eye on it!
The Ryzen 7000 series tends to run hot, especially under load. Seeing 75°C during gaming and 87°C in a stress test isn't unusual at all. It's pretty normal for the 7800X3D to hit those numbers, especially when you're pushing it hard. Your AIO cooler should be keeping things in check!
Honestly, your temps are looking acceptable. The 7000 chips were designed to allow for high boosts even if they hit the max temp threshold. It's normal for them to get up to 90°C in some scenarios, so you're within the safe range.
I see what you mean, but I'm still a bit surprised about the Kombustor temps. I thought it would be lower with such a good cooler.
