I recently purchased some PCIe cords online for my two power supplies: a Corsair HXi Series 1000W and a Corsair RM850. After reading the comments on my last post, I'm a bit anxious about whether these cords are a good idea. Some people warned me against buying cables from Amazon because of potential risks. Should I consider getting my cables directly from Corsair's website instead? Will using these cords cause any damage to my graphics cards or power supplies?

Just a heads up: it can be risky to buy power-related items from Amazon. While those PCIe cords are specified for Corsair, there’s always a chance of quality issues. Cheaper cables might use lower quality materials, which could lead to problems like overheating. It's best to see if someone who has more experience can check them out physically.
The cords you bought are marked compatible with Corsair’s HXi and RM series, but it’s strange they don’t specify ‘Type 4,’ which you might need. You’re likely okay to use them, but I completely understand being nervous!
I think this is the cable you’d want to check out: [CORSAIR Premium Individually Sleeved Connector](https://www.amazon.com/CORSAIR-Premium-Individually-Sleeved-Connector/dp/B07L68FVP8).

I decided to go for the Corsair ones after doing some research: [CORSAIR Premium Individually Sleeved Connector](https://www.amazon.com/CORSAIR-Premium-Individually-Sleeved-Connector/dp/B07L68FVP8). I didn’t realize there were safer options until today. They're hooked up to my MSI graphics cards: a 3060 Ti for the 850W and a 5070 Ti for the 1000W.
