I've been upgrading my AM3 build over the last two years and currently have a Ryzen 5700x, a GIGABYTE B550 Eagle WIFI6 motherboard, and an EVGA Supernova 850 G6 PSU. Recently, I impulsively bought a 5070ti after seeing it on sale, but I didn't thoroughly check its compatibility with my existing parts. I've read that it requires PCIe 5.0 to run optimally, but I also heard it can work with PCIe 4.0. Can you confirm if my components will support the 5070ti?

You're absolutely fine with that setup! If you're gaming at 1440p or above, it should perform well. But at 1080p, your CPU might limit performance in some games.
You're good to go! The PCIe interface is backwards and forwards compatible. That means you can definitely use the 5070ti with your setup, even if your motherboard is only PCIe 4.0. The difference in performance between PCIe 4.0 and 5.0 isn't going to impact your gaming experience significantly.
Yes, your B550 board has PCIe 4.0, which is perfectly fine for the 5070ti. You won't notice a real performance difference in gaming compared to PCIe 5.0. Just keep in mind, your 5700x processor might bottleneck the GPU depending on the gaming resolution you're using.
For the last twenty years, most GPUs have worked with most motherboards. So you shouldn't have any issues.

Really? I also have a Gigabyte B350 Gaming 3, would it work with that one too? I'm pretty sure it only has PCIe 3.0.
