Are my RTX 3070 Ti temperatures too high?

Hey folks! I just built my first PC and I'm super excited about my new GIGABYTE RTX 3070 Ti Gaming OC. I've been monitoring the GPU temperatures and noticed that when the usage hits around 99%, the temp goes up to 84–87°C, occasionally spiking to 90°C before dropping back to that range. I even tried removing the glass panel and saw a slight improvement, dropping the temps to 80–83°C. When I alt-tab or close games, the temperature cools down quickly, and at idle or browsing, it stays around 50–53°C. My case has four fans and is placed on the floor. Is this temperature range normal for this GPU, or is there something I should tweak? Any advice would be great! Thanks!

Yeah, those temps do sound a bit high for your RTX 3070 Ti, especially if it's thermal throttling. It might be worth considering repasting with a good thermal compound like PTM7950. If your hotspot temperature goes over 100°C, definitely reapply the thermal paste. Most Nvidia cards are known to throttle at around 84°C, which could mean you're losing out on performance. You might also want to look into undervolting to keep those temps down.

I've never seen mine go past 90°C either, but wow, your hotspot exceeds 100°C? So, just repasting would likely fix that issue?
