Hey everyone! I'm running a Ryzen 5 7600 with a Be Quiet Pure Rock 2 FX cooler. I've undervolted all the cores by 25mV, but I'm still seeing idle temperatures around 55 degrees, and under full load, it spikes to almost 90 degrees. The CPU is rated at 65W TDP, and I have a cooler that's equipped to handle a 120W TDP. I feel like these temperatures are a bit high, especially since I haven't experienced thermal throttling, but I'm wondering if I should think about reapplying thermal paste or if this is normal?

It sounds like it could depend on your environment; room temperature plays a big role. If you're not consistently hitting 90C under load, it’s typically not an issue. Re-pasting might help, but I wouldn’t rush into it unless you notice it getting worse.
Idle temps can vary a lot, and as long as you're not hitting the thermal limit when stressed (not throttling), you're likely fine. Don't sweat idle numbers unless they really skyrocket, like over 70C.
I’m not throttling, but nearing the limit with an aftermarket cooler. Shouldn’t it keep the temps lower?
It's actually pretty normal for Ryzen CPUs to idle higher than Intel ones. So, 55 degrees at idle isn't a red flag. With your load temps hitting the high 80s, that's within acceptable range too for Ryzen chips, especially under heavy usage. My setup, for reference, runs around 47-48 degrees at idle.
But my cooler is rated for a stronger CPU, and it struggles to keep my temps under 90C with an undervolted 7600. Is that usual?
It's definitely hitting 90C under load. Maybe I should consider repasting after all?
