Hey everyone! I'm looking to add another SSD to my system specifically for my Steam games, but ever since the AI craze, prices have skyrocketed. I found a Netac SSD that's significantly cheaper—around 35% less than the WD Blue series. Is this a good deal, or should I steer clear?

Netac has been around in the OEM world for a while. In my opinion, it's better to shell out a little more for a reliable SSD. The risk of losing data isn't worth the savings here.

Netac's products can be hit or miss. They’re not top-tier, but I've had decent experiences with some of their SSDs. I’ve got one myself that performed surprisingly well for the price. Just be sure to avoid their lower-end models; those tend to be less reliable.

I've never heard of Netac before either! If it's just going to be a secondary drive for games and you’re not storing anything crucial, you might be fine. Just don’t expect it to last forever.

True, I've spotted some reviews online, but not much on this particular model. If it's just for games, it could be okay.

Honestly, be careful with Netac. The low price is a red flag—it's a brand that doesn’t really have a solid reputation. They might offer a warranty, but good luck reaching them if something goes wrong; you could end up losing data. There’s also barely any information on their products, and the quality seems inconsistent across batches. If you care about your data, I’d look for something more reliable.

Totally agree! It’s super frustrating when SSDs fail, especially with important files.
