Are PSU adapters for 12 pin GPU connectors reliable?

Hey everyone! I've got an ST45SF-G PSU and I'm looking to upgrade to either a 3060 Ti or a 3070. However, I noticed that PC Part Picker says I'm missing a 12 pin connector. I found some adapter cables online that convert to 12 pin connectors. Are these adapters a good option to use? Has anyone had experience with using PSU adapters for modular PSUs?

The 12 pin connector is mainly used on some high-end 30 series GPUs, and usually, they come with an adapter included. The real issue is that the ST45SF-G PSU doesn’t have the dual 8-pin connectors needed for the 3070. I’d recommend sticking with the 3060 Ti, which only needs a single 8-pin connection, unless you're thinking about upgrading your PSU to at least 550W with enough PCIe 8-pin outputs.

Thanks for the heads-up! I’ll focus on the 3060 Ti instead.
