Are There Any Hidden Costs for Migrating to AWS with MGN?

Hey everyone, I have a question about migration costs when using the AWS Application Migration Service (MGN). Although I know MGN itself is free, I've heard that there could be charges for the automatic creation of the Replication Server and Conversion Server during my migration from an on-premises Windows machine with 8 cores, 32GB RAM, and 1.5TB SSD. Can anyone clear this up? Are there any actual costs involved with replication and conversion, or is it really zero?

You’ll definitely incur costs from the underlying infrastructure for the replication and conversion servers. Just like someone mentioned, if you migrate within the first 90 days after installing the agent, there are no charges for MGN. Beyond that, you're looking at costs for the servers being utilized, but no MGN fees. I’ve migrated hundreds of servers using MGN, and this is the gist of it.

According to AWS's pricing details, you get the first 90 days of server replication for free. After that, it’s about $0.042 per hour per server, which averages out to roughly $30 a month per server. So, while MGN itself is free, there are costs tied to the replication and conversion servers once you go past the free period. Check out the official page for more details!

I’ve checked the pricing too, and it seems straightforward. But I’d love to hear from someone who’s actually migrated a server and encountered these costs.
