Hey everyone! I'm in a bit of a pickle here. My TV would be perfect on a certain wall in my bedroom, but there's no outlet on that side. The nearest outlet is across the doorway, and there's another one on the opposite side of the room, which means I'd have to run cords through the closet. I'm trying to avoid using a long extension cord around the door frame if I can. So, I'm wondering if there are any wireless power outlets available that would work like this: I could plug a device into the wall outlet, and then have my TV connect to it wirelessly, kind of like a power bank but for AC power. I've done some searching but mostly found results for Bluetooth remotes and lights that work with Alexa, and definitely nothing like what I'm looking for. Some suggestions I've come across mention in-wall outlets, but I can't do that in my apartment. Any ideas or solutions would be super helpful! Thanks a lot!

While it's technically possible to send power wirelessly, it's limited to very small applications, like charging a phone wirelessly on a charging pad. For home appliances like TVs, we're still reliant on wired connections.
Yeah, wireless power transmission isn't really practical for home use yet. Tesla did some groundbreaking work with wireless power decades ago, but that's not something we can realistically apply to a regular TV setup. If you need a more aesthetic solution for cords, I suggest looking into cable management systems or conduits that can keep things tidy without major renovations.
There are portable power banks that convert DC to AC, which might be a good temporary fix! They're meant for charging devices like laptops but can sometimes handle TVs too. Just remember to charge it nightly to ensure you have enough juice when you want to watch something.
There’s no wireless setup like you mentioned, but I’ve heard of experimental wireless power technologies. They usually require specific setups and conditions, and aren’t suitable for regular home use just yet. For now, stick to good old extension cords or maybe relocate your TV.
Unfortunately, there aren't any wireless power outlets like what you're describing. Your best bet at the moment is to use extension cords or consider relocating your TV to a different wall that has an outlet. It might not be the most ideal situation, but it's safer than trying to create a wireless solution that doesn't exist yet.
