Hey everyone! I'm planning to start studying computer science in 2027, but I have no previous college experience, and my programming knowledge is pretty much non-existent. However, I'm really passionate about it, and I see a lot of potential for a solid future in this field.
I want to know if there are actual entry-level programming jobs available for someone like me – someone who's starting from scratch. I'm also curious if there are good areas I can study on my own right now to build my resume before I even get to college. Additionally, being from Brazil, are there opportunities for foreigners in programming, particularly with remote work?
Any advice on what I should start learning to prepare myself for the job market, and which areas of programming might have more opportunities, either locally or internationally? Thanks a ton!

Finding genuine entry-level programming jobs when you’re starting from zero can be tough. Many of these positions can be rare, so it’s crucial to build some foundational knowledge. Starting off with coding basics and some personal projects can help a lot. By creating a GitHub profile and sharing your work, you can showcase your skills even without formal experience.

Is there a particular programming area where knowledge alone could get me a job without needing a college degree? I think that clarifies my question a bit more.
