I recently purchased the Corsair RM850E power supply (2025 edition) and I'm curious about whether the coil whine and strange noises are still an issue with the newer models. Have these problems been fixed compared to the older versions?

The 2025 model of the RM850E definitely has a lower chance of experiencing coil whine compared to the 2023 version. However, some clicking noises were reported in early batches of the 2025 model. While those sounds can be annoying, they aren't harmful, and newer batches seem to have resolved that issue.
