I've recently upgraded my system with a 5070ti GPU and a 9700x CPU, housed in an MSI MAG Forge 100R case. While the GPU temperatures are within my target range of 60-70°C under load, my CPU temperature can climb as high as 97.6°C during intense gaming sessions. I understand that Ryzen CPUs tend to run hotter, but I'd like to keep the peaks around 90°C. I currently have two front intake fans and one exhaust fan at the back. I'm considering adding three more fans (one for the front and two for the top) or possibly upgrading to a better CPU cooler, like the Thermalright Peerless Assassin. Can I also repurpose my old cooler's fan as a case fan? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Upgrading to the two-tower cooler is likely to make the biggest difference in lowering your CPU temps. The Peerless Assassin has great reviews and should fit your needs. Plus, you can definitely use your old cooler's fans anywhere you can mount a 120mm fan, so that's a bonus for improving airflow!
Just a quick thought: have you set your fan curves? Sometimes folks overlook this, but it can really affect cooling performance. Adjusting the fan speed settings according to your needs might help lower those CPU temps significantly!

Honestly, I'm familiar with PC building but not quite experienced with fan curves. I wasn't sure how to set those up.
