Hey everyone! I've used up my free credits on AWS last year while working on some assignments. I just landed a job, and though the pay is a bit on the low side, at least it allows me to work from home. I'm also diving into a personal project that I'm aiming to scale in the future. Since I'm not in a rush to scale, I'm looking to avoid any paid services for now. Is there any way I can snag more free credits? Also, if you have any alternative suggestions that are budget-friendly, I would love to hear them! By the way, I need to deploy a Java gradle backend and I already have a domain.

You could create a new AWS account using a different email address. Another trick is to use Gmail's + addressing – just add something like '+1' to your current email and it should work. But honestly, if you can manage your AWS usage carefully, you might not need extra credits. I’ve managed to keep my costs under $5 a month even while learning and experimenting. It's all about quickly building and cleaning up after yourself. Plus, check out TF/OpenTofu for smaller, simpler projects.
I tried creating a new account with the + method but hit a snag. AWS told me I wasn’t eligible for the free plan because they linked my new account to my existing one. Be cautious with that method!
