My brother wants to build a new gaming PC, and he's put together a list of parts. I'm not really experienced with PC components, so I'm looking for some advice on whether these parts are good or if there's anything I should change. Here's the setup he's considering:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5700
- CPU Cooler: Arctic Alpine 23 CO Cooler
- Motherboard: MSI A520M-A PRO DDR4
- GPU: Palit GeForce RTX 4060 Infinity 2 8GB
- PSU: MSI Mag A550BNL 550W Bronze
- Chassis: Shark Maelstrom Flow RGB Chassis
- SSD: Kingston NV3 1000GB M.2 2280 NVMe
- RAM: Kingston Fury Beast 2x16GB 3200MHz

Honestly, I don't think this build is great. What's your brother's budget and location? I could suggest a better setup if I know those details!
The 5700 isn't the best CPU choice; maybe go for a 5600 or 5600X instead for a budget-friendly AM4 build. Intel's 12400F is also a good alternative if you find a cheap motherboard. Just keep an eye out for a board with M.2 slots.
