Hey everyone! I'm dealing with some issues playing the games I love, and I could really use some advice. My PC is around 4-5 years old and here are the specs:
- CPU: Ryzen 5 3600
- GPU: 3060 Ti
- Motherboard: A320M
- RAM: 16GB
- Power Supply: 450W (probably Bronze certified)
It's a prebuilt system, and the graphics card and RAM were upgraded about a year later than the rest of the components. Right now, I'm having a lot of crashes while playing Marvel Rivals due to a shortage of RAM. I've also been told that the motherboard might not be great and that my power supply could be an issue as well.
I've compiled a list of parts I'm considering for upgrades, but I'm unsure if they are good choices or even compatible with my current setup:
1. CPU: Ryzen 5 5600X
2. RAM: Corsair Vengeance 32GB DDR5 5200MHz
3. Power Supply: MSI MAG A650BN 650W Bronze Certified
4. Motherboard: I really need help understanding which motherboard would work best.
The total price for these parts is about £240 ($320), not including the motherboard. Can anyone help me figure out if these parts are worth it or if there are better options? I'd like to keep costs reasonable since I'm not super knowledgeable about PC parts, especially motherboards. Thanks a ton!

Hey! It looks like you’re in need of some upgrades. Just a heads up, the Ryzen 5 5000 series doesn’t support DDR5 memory, so you'll need DDR4 instead for your RAM. As for the motherboard, you should look for one that has an AM4 socket to ensure it’s compatible with your new CPU. It might help to ask around or share potential motherboards here and we can help you refine your choice!

Thanks for the heads up! By the way, I noticed that the SSD where Marvel Rivals is installed only has 8GB of storage left. Is that a concern? Should I consider getting a larger SSD?
