Hey everyone! I'm looking to build a new PC and with the recent spike in GPU prices, I've narrowed it down to two options: the ASUS Astral priced at $3350 and the Gigabyte Gaming OC at $2600. I've heard mixed things about the Gigabyte, especially concerning some gel leakage issues, but I'm curious if they've been addressed in recent models. On the other hand, the ASUS offers pin monitoring which seems beneficial, though I'm unsure if it's worth the extra cost. I'm also considering pairing either with an ASRock PSU that has a pin temperature shutoff feature for safety. Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

Honestly, I don't think the ASUS is worth the extra $750 over the Gigabyte. If your main concern is quality control, I'd suggest picking a more affordable card that’s not from Gigabyte. Your budget could go a long way!
Asus generally makes solid products, but they can be pricier, especially the RoG series. I prefer their TUF line usually for GPUs. Gigabyte is decent too; I’ve got an RTX 4070 Ti from them that works fine despite some issues elsewhere. Just keep in mind, if you don't want to deal with potential quality control headaches, perhaps consider getting a different brand or the cheapest card that's not Gigabyte. By the way, I'd recommend looking at the Corsair RM1000x PSU; it's reliable with a great warranty!

The only other option I see is the ASUS TUF for $3k. What do you think of that one?
