I'm looking for an affordable multifunction printer (MFP) or scanner that offers network support for one-touch scanning directly to a network share. The goal is to let employees easily load documents in the automatic document feeder (ADF), press a scan button, and automatically save the files to a network location. I'm expecting to handle around 400-500 A4 pages daily. Any recommendations for budget-friendly models that can handle this kind of workload? Thanks in advance!

Small HP MFPs are a solid choice for this purpose. For example, the HP 4101 works well for scanning directly to a network share, and you might also consider the more budget-friendly 3101. Just keep in mind that with your expected volume of 500 pages daily, the cheaper models could wear out faster, depending on what you define as 'cheap.'
I'd recommend checking out Brother scanners! They make some great standalone document scanners that are compact. Plus, they offer replacement roller kits that can be changed out by users easily, which is a bonus for maintenance.
Just a thought: is there any concern about privacy or confidentiality if documents are scanned straight to a share? That might be something to consider.

Is it possible to get something under $500? I usually go for cheaper options and replace them as needed since I've had pricey models fail just as often, and warranties are usually similar in cost.
