Hey everyone! I've been using my computer since 2017, and it's served me well for less demanding games like League of Legends and CS2. Here's what I've got:
- Motherboard: B350M MORTAR MS-7A37
- CPU: AMD RYZEN 5 1600
- RAM: 24 GB DDR4 3200MHz (2x4, 2x8)
- GPU: MSI GTX 1050ti 4GB
- PSU: CORSAIR 550W
- Storage: 1Tb HDD + 1Tb SSD

Currently, I want to upgrade my rig so I can play more demanding titles like Red Dead Redemption 2, GTA V, GTA VI, and any future games at over 50fps with at least medium settings on my 2560x1440 monitor, ideally at 240Hz.

My budget is flexible, but I don't see the need for high-end gear like the RTX 5080. I'm looking for a great price-to-performance upgrade without leaving the AM4 socket.

Here's what I'm considering:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X
- GPU: Either a GTX 5070 12GB, GTX 5060ti 16GB, or GTX 5060ti 8GB
- RAM: Stick with 24GB or upgrade to 32GB with 2x16 DDR4 (if prices are right)
- PSU: Upgrade to a 750W or could my current 550W still work?

What do you all think? Is this setup optimal, or should I make some changes, like going for the 5070ti for just a bit more?

You might be fine keeping your current Corsair 550W PSU, but it really depends on the type. Some Corsair models are fantastic, while others aren't. If it's an older RM-x or TX-m, you're good. With a 5800X and a 5070 or 5060 Ti, you're looking at about 400-450W max draw, which is okay with some headroom. But if you go for the 9070 or 5070 Ti, definitely consider upgrading the PSU.

Just a heads up, it’s RTX, not GTX for the newer cards. The 5070 may not be the best at the moment, but the 5070 Ti is definitely solid. If you find a good price on a 9070 or 9070 XT, that could offer better performance for your setup!

Hey, the 5070 is actually not a bad choice. It's got 12GB of RAM which is decent for 1440p and often shows up for under $500. It could also allow you to keep your current PSU since it has a lower power draw, and it provides a huge performance boost over older models!
