Best AM5 Motherboard Recommendations for a New Build

I'm gearing up to build a new PC with a Ryzen 7800X3D and an RX 9060 XT (or a similar GPU), but I'm a bit lost on which AM5 motherboard to choose. I've seen a lot of differing reviews online, and I'm trying to stay within a budget of €1500 for the entire build while keeping costs as low as possible. Also, if anyone has suggestions for reliable PSU brands, I'd appreciate that too!

The 800 series motherboards generally offer two main advantages over the 600 series: USB4 support (which might cut PCIe lanes to use) and higher memory speed support, though many users won't utilize that. If I were in your shoes, I'd go for the B850 Tomahawk.

If you're looking for a solid option, go for the cheapest motherboard that meets your needs and is compatible with your case size. Aim for at least 8+1 power phases for good power delivery, but you can go lower if you're using an 8-core CPU or less. Two CPU power connectors usually indicate decent power delivery.

I've been using an Asrock X870 PRO RS without issues. It’s been solid for my needs.

I'd suggest getting a B650 or B850 motherboard with strong VRMs. You might also want to check out the MSI MAG A750 GL PSU; it's a solid choice.

I recently picked up an Asrock B850 Steel Legend. My previous B450 Steel Legend served me well for 6 years, so I'm hoping for similar reliability this time!

Any AM5 motherboard from the B650, B850, X670, or X870 series should work well for you. B650 Gigabyte boards are particularly popular. As for power supplies, I'd recommend brands like Corsair, Thermaltake, MSI, Silverstone, EVGA, and BeQuiet. Just remember to check reviews for specific models!
