Hey everyone! I'm pretty new to asset management and I'm looking for some advice. I'm trying to find an asset management software that can help me generate tags based on asset information. My company isn't the best at managing assets right now, so I'm eager to start gathering info and tagging everything. If you know of any software that can help with this, I'd really appreciate your recommendations. Thanks a bunch!

EZO Asset Management is a great option. It allows you to log detailed information about assets and can automatically generate tags or barcodes, which is super helpful for organizing everything from scratch.
We're transitioning from Reftab to Snipe-IT right now. I prefer Snipe-IT overall, but the label generation can be a bit tricky and less customizable. Still, it offers some great features like integration with MS Teams!
We use EZO AssetSonar and it's been really useful! It allows for custom tags with plenty of information, and they offer various options for tag creation and printing, including commercial printing.
We currently use SnipeIT, and I have to say, it's fantastic! It's a self-hosted solution that works really well for managing assets and tagging them as needed.
Most IT asset management tools, including my own (Starhive), support tagging capabilities. You just have to decide if you want barcodes or QR codes based on your needs. Plus, check what label printers they support, as that can be a hassle.
