I'm looking to upgrade the AV setup in our small conference room. We're aimed at making meetings easier, whether they're in-person or over Zoom, and ensuring that everyone can see the screen and be heard clearly. I have an IT person handling the wiring, but I've got questions about what kind of TV, soundbar, camera, and microphone would be best to use. I was thinking about the Samsung Neo QLED with Vision AI since it might help with viewing. Is that a good choice? We currently have a conference room phone but might consider replacing it. Any suggestions on equipment and setup would be greatly appreciated!

I've been using Newline screens and they're fantastic! They come with a webcam, a solid sound system, and even a whiteboard feature. Plus, they integrate well with platforms like Teams, and users can book the room right from their calendars, which is super convenient. If your space needs to handle a decent amount of traffic, this could be a great solution.
You might want to aim for a sizable TV, like at least 70 inches, especially if your room can accommodate it. Samsung TVs are solid, but make sure the sound and mic setup can cover everyone in the room. In my experience, using daisy-chained speakerphones can also improve sound quality significantly.
A larger TV sounds like the way to go! I appreciate the advice on the sound setup!
It's a good idea to consult with an AV integrator; they can help with all the details you might overlook. But if you're looking at something versatile, have you considered a product like the Neat bar? It works well for both Zoom and Teams, and it has built-in microphones for better audio balance. I think you'll find that going wireless can complicate things, so sticking to wired connections might save you hassle in the long run.
Thanks for that! I’ll check out the Neat bar. And yeah, I’m definitely leaning towards wired connections to keep it simple!
Generally, I recommend hiring a professional AV firm. They know the ins and outs of acoustic treatments, which can really affect sound quality. If you're on a tighter budget, I've heard good things about the Logitech Rally Mini for cameras and audio, although I’d advise against smart TVs unless you want to risk unexpected distractions during meetings.
Good to know, I’ll steer clear of smart TVs then. Thanks for the tip!

I’ll look into Newline too, thanks! The calendar booking feature sounds really useful!
