I'm planning to build a new PC and want to pair it with a 5070 Ti graphics card. I'm not sure which CPU to choose, preferably one that fits the AM4 socket since I want to avoid spending extra on a new motherboard and RAM. Any suggestions would be appreciated, especially if they come at a reasonable price!

You might want to consider the Ryzen 7 9800X3D. It’s a solid match for the 5070 Ti, though it can be on the pricier side. If you're worried about budget, keep in mind that balancing the setup is important, but spending around $300-$400 on a CPU feels a bit hefty!
If you haven't bought any components yet, I'd suggest looking at something like the R7-7700 as an alternative. It offers similar performance to the AM4 X3D CPUs and is more readily available without the inflated prices. Also, if you're not set on the 5070 Ti yet, the RX 9070XT is worth considering—it's got comparable performance and is often available at a better price.
Thanks a lot for the info! I haven't picked anything up yet, so I'll definitely consider your advice.
Honestly, if you're sticking with AM4, you could look at the 5700X3D or 5800X3D if your budget allows. Those are really the most suitable for the 5070 Ti. But I've found that sometimes a cheaper CPU like the Ryzen 5 5600 or 5700X might work, especially if you're gaming at 4K.
Right, I've seen performance differences depending on resolution too. It all comes down to what you'll be playing at!

Yeah, I get that! Prices can definitely add up, especially if you're trying to keep the cost down.
