Best Gaming PC Build for Golf Simulator Under $1000

Hey everyone! I'm a 44-year-old tech enthusiast looking to either build or buy a gaming PC for my golf simulator software, GSPro. The system requirements aren't too demanding, needing just a 20GB hard drive, an RTX 3070 or 3060ti GPU, and 16GB of RAM.

I started using a build guide site but found myself overwhelmed with all the options. Ideally, I'm looking for recommendations for the "Honda Civic" of gaming PCs—reliable and well-performing components that won't become outdated quickly but don't have to be cutting-edge either. My budget is $1000 or less.

A couple of extra details:
* I need it to output to an older ViewSonic PJD6552LWS and an older LED TV.
* It will be located in my garage, so it should hold up reasonably well against dust (though I'll keep it clean).

Looking for straightforward recommendations—thanks in advance!

Your budget might be a challenge, especially since for a solid build you're looking at around $900-$1000. At that price range, you may want to consider finding a good deal on a used PC instead of building new.

Thanks for the heads up! I'll consider adjusting my budget to accommodate better options.

Used can be great! Just make sure to check the hardware condition first.

I saw a great deal on Facebook Marketplace—someone is selling a used PC for $575. It includes an MSI RTX 3060, Ryzen 5-5600x, and other solid components. Sounds like a decent value if you're looking for something right away!

That sounds promising! I'll check it out and see if it fits my needs.

Definitely worth looking into! Just make sure to ask about the usage and any potential issues.
