I'm looking to upgrade my graphics card as my current setup is from around 2021-2022. I do some gaming occasionally, primarily titles like Battlefield, Dying Light, The Witcher, and GTA. Here's what I have right now:
- CPU: Intel i5 12700k
- GPU: Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti (11GB)
- RAM: 32GB DDR4 3600
- Storage: 1TB M.2 SSD (x3)
- PSU: Corsair RM850x
- Monitor: Samsung 2K, 120Hz or 144Hz
I'm focusing on upgrading the GPU to play games at 1440p with a refresh rate of 120 or 144Hz for the next few years. I'm considering the RTX 5070 Ti with 16GB. What do you guys think? I'm planning to upgrade later this year.

The 5070 Ti is a solid upgrade! It should handle all the games you mentioned really well at 1440p, maxing out most of them without a hitch. However, your current GTX 1080 Ti is still decent for those titles since they're a bit older. If you’re a GTA fan, you might want to wait until closer to the release of GTA 6. That way, you could either catch better deals for the 5070 Ti or splurge on something like a 5090 if you’re feeling adventurous! Overall though, the 5070 Ti is a good bang for your buck and will likely keep you running most games on high for years to come.
Thanks for the input! I agree, I'm looking for something that can handle high settings and preferably in the >120fps range for newer titles like BF6 and GTA 6. It sounds like the 5070 Ti could be a great long-term investment.
