I'm looking to upgrade from an RTX 2070 Super and want to keep the budget below $800. I mainly use the PC for gaming and was considering an RTX 3080 10GB listed around $600–700, but I'm not sure that's a good value anymore. What graphics cards would you recommend instead? I'm in the United States.

It’s also worth checking current deals on previous-generation cards. An RX 6700 XT can still be a capable gaming card, but at nearly $500 it isn’t especially appealing compared with newer options, so I’d only consider it if the price drops significantly.
The Radeon RX 9070 or 9070 XT would be much better options in the $600–700 range. They offer strong gaming performance and are newer, more efficient cards than the RTX 3080. I’d compare prices and choose the least expensive reputable model.
The RX 9070 is a solid straightforward upgrade for gaming. If the XT version is only slightly more expensive, it may be worth getting, but don’t pay $600–700 for a regular RTX 3080 unless you have a specific need for Nvidia features.
That’s far too much for an RTX 3080 at this point. A used 3080 should generally be well under $400, and even a 3080 Ti should be comfortably below $500. For your budget, I’d focus on an RX 9070 or 9070 XT instead.
