Best GPU Upgrade Options for $400 AUD?

I'm looking to upgrade my GTX 1060 6GB to something better, with a budget of around $400 AUD. I recently bought a prebuilt PC for university and gaming, but with games like Cyberpunk 2077, I'm finding it tough to play on medium settings. I want to fully enjoy the beautiful graphics, so I'm hoping to find some solid recommendations for a GPU upgrade. Also, is now a good time to make this purchase?

With $400, you're in a bit of a tight spot for upgrades. I recommend saving a little more to grab a 9060 XT, which would really enhance your gaming experience. Right now, options are pretty limited in that price range.

Yeah, I hear you. That might take too long for me though. I’m not super into the latest games, so I’m just looking to get a PC upgrade that’ll let me play stuff smoothly.

You could definitely find a used RTX 2080 around $280 AUD. That’s a solid card for the price and should handle games much better than your current setup!

That sounds good! $250 is just an extra weekend shift for me, so it might be worth it.

Consider the Intel ARC B580 with 12GB VRAM or the RX 7600 with 8GB VRAM; both are solid options in your price range. Check out some benchmarks on YouTube to get an idea of their performance.

I’ve noticed that an ASUS GeForce RTX 3050 Dual V2 with 8GB GDDR6 is also around $400 at my local shop. How would that compare to the others?
