Best GPU Upgrade Options for Gaming on a Budget

I'm currently gaming with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060, but it's struggling to maintain 30-40 fps even on low settings with newer titles. My current setup includes an i7 10700 processor, 32GB of RAM, a 500GB SSD, and a 1TB HDD. As a college student, I'm looking for a budget-friendly GPU upgrade, ideally between $300 and $500. I've heard that prices have been rising lately, so I could use some guidance on what to consider for my next GPU. Any suggestions?

Yeah, the 9060 XT would be ideal for what you're aiming to do. Great for modern games without breaking your college budget. Just keep an eye on the market prices, as they've been fluctuating a lot lately!

For your budget, I'd highly recommend looking into the Radeon 9060 XT 16GB. It's great for 1080p gaming and decent for 1440p as well. If you're buying new, that's a solid pick. You could also consider a used RTX 3080, which you might find for around $300. It's a better performer compared to the 9060 XT, though it has less VRAM. Keep in mind, running modern games from an HDD can sometimes cause issues, especially with open-world games.

Definitely go for the 9060 XT 16GB! That's really the sweet spot for your needs, and it's well within your budget. If you can stretch a bit, maybe an RTX 5070 if you find a good deal around $550-$600 would also be worth it. Just make sure your power supply can handle whatever you choose.
