Best Graphics Card Options Under £300

I'm currently on the hunt for a graphics card and the market feels like a total mess right now. AMD and Nvidia seem to think that 8GB is perfectly fine for low to mid-range cards priced under £300. I'm wondering if it would be a smarter move to go for an older generation card with 12-16GB of VRAM instead, or if the newer models really outperform the old ones enough to justify the lower VRAM. What do you guys think?

If you're set on keeping it under £300, I found some 16GB 9060 XT cards just above that mark. I grabbed one for about £330 recently, and it's been a solid choice for gaming. If you can stretch your budget a bit, it could be worth it!

Honestly, if you can squeak out an extra twenty quid, getting the 9060 XT with 16GB is totally worth it. Don't settle for the 8GB versions; they just won't cut it for today's games.

If you're okay with going slightly over, CEX has the RX 6800 16GB for about £310! It even comes with a 5-year warranty, which is a nice bonus. If that's too steep, the RX 6700 XT with 12GB is still available for under £300.

What's the performance difference between the RX 6800 and 6800 XT? I haven't been able to find much info on that.
