I'm in the process of upgrading my system and have already spent about $800, which includes a new case and an SSD. I'm looking for recommendations on a new graphics card that's around that budget. I'm currently considering the 7900 XTX because of its extra VRAM, and I think it might perform better in the long run compared to the 9700 XT. My current setup includes an Intel i7-13700K, 32GB of DDR4 RAM, and an Nvidia RTX 3080 with 10GB of VRAM. What do you think? Are there better options out there?

Why are you thinking of upgrading from an RTX 3080? That's still a pretty solid card!
Honestly, you might want to just keep the $800 and stick with the 3080. It's still a viable option for many games.
If you can find a 5070 Ti within your budget, that could be a solid pick. Remember that the 24GB VRAM on the 7900 XTX might not be a game-changer. Poorly optimized games likely won't run well on any GPU, regardless of the VRAM. Plus, the lack of FSR4 support is a no-go for me.
I'd definitely go for the 9700 XT over the 7900 XTX. If you sell your 3080, that could help offset some costs too! By the way, how did you end up spending $800 total on just a case and SSD?
Oh, that $800 covered the case, CPU, motherboard, and all the other stuff too.
If you're focusing only on gaming, the 9070 XT is the way to go. But if you're using programs like Resolve alongside gaming, the 7900 XTX might be the better choice for you.
The 9070 XT is better for ray tracing and comes with native FSR4 support. It has faster AI cores as well, which could be beneficial for future games.

The 10GB just isn't cutting it for some of the newer games anymore. While it doesn’t need replacement just yet, I'm looking for something beefier, and the 7900 XTX seems promising.
