Has anyone had success running income tax preparation software like TurboTax or TaxCut on Linux using Wine? I'm looking for alternatives as it's been a while since this topic was discussed. Any recommendations?

Free Tax USA has been my go-to for about a decade! Very user-friendly, and no complaints so far.

I've had great luck with browser-based services like Free Tax USA. It's been reliable for me over the years. Plus, it's super easy to use!

I agree with you! The name sounds a bit sketchy, but after using it for over five years without any issues, I can say it's pretty solid!

If you're looking for an option, I've been using TurboTax online through my browser. It works smoothly on Linux and has all the features you need.

I've also had success with browser-based H&R Block. A while back, I tried TurboTax, but they wouldn’t let me access it since I was on Linux. Switched to H&R Block, and it's been great!

Yeah, I ran into the same problem with TurboTax too! Glad I switched to H&R Block; it works just fine for my needs.

Honestly, I recommend just using a web-based solution. Most tax software feels like a rip-off anyway!
