I'm looking for a laptop that can handle DevOps tasks, specifically system administration. I've been dealing with costly cloud services, and I don't like the idea of not owning my machine. For what you're doing, look for a modern Intel i5 or an AMD equivalent. If possible, try to snag a system with DDR5 RAM, but I understand that budget can be tight where you are. If you haven't considered it yet, using Linux might maximize your resources much better than Windows. Consider getting Windows Server 2022 trial or Windows 10 LTSC to keep things running smoothly without too much overhead, but Linux would be your best bet for virtual machines. You'll have a better experience there!
