Best Linux Distro for Gaming and Web Development?

Hey everyone! I'm making the switch from Windows to Linux after using it for about ten years. I gave Ubuntu GNOME a shot and enjoyed it, but I'm not convinced it's the best fit for me. I'm looking for a Linux distribution that supports light to medium gaming, is good for web development, and strikes a balance in complexity — not as challenging as Arch but more advanced than Ubuntu since I want to learn. Stability and customization are also key for me, so I'd like to work with KDE Plasma. Also, I really want to avoid bloatware! Here are my specs in case they help:
- AMD Ryzen 5 3600
- RTX 2060
- 16 GB of RAM
- 500 GB SSD, 1 TB HDD

Any suggestions on which distro would suit my needs? I've heard EndeavourOS mentioned before. Thanks!

For your needs, I suggest checking out Nobara; it’s Fedora-based and is great for gaming as well as work. You might also want to try Drauger or Pop!_OS, which are both Ubuntu-based and work well for gaming. If you're leaning towards Arch, Cachy and Garuda are solid options for gaming too. EndeavourOS is nice, but it might not have the same level of gaming support as Garuda or Cachy. Try out a few and see which one vibes with you!

Have you considered using openSUSE? It comes in different flavors like GNOME, KDE, or XFCE, allowing you to pick what's best for you. With openSUSE Tumbleweed, you'll have access to the latest packages and it's well-tested for stability and gaming support. You can also play around with the openSUSE mascot, 'Geeko'!

I'd say Fedora could be a good match for you! It's pretty stable and offers a lot of features without being overly complicated. Plus, you can customize it quite a bit depending on your needs. Give it a go!

You might want to try bazzite. It’s not as mentioned here, but people seem to like it. There are a lot of great options available, so you're bound to find something that fits your needs!
