I've been using Mint for around 6 months and just upgraded to a Framework 16 for multimedia e-book design, writing, and publishing. I'm considering switching to one of the officially supported distros like Fedora, Bluefin, or Pop OS. My AI advisor recommends Bluefin, but the YouTube videos seem more geared towards developers and command line users. What do you all think? I could stick with Mint, but I feel like now's a good time to experiment with other options!

Honestly, I wouldn't stick with Mint since it uses X11, and that could limit your experience. Bluefin isn’t the greatest choice either because it's an immutable distro, which can complicate things when you're still learning Linux. If gaming is a priority, Pop!_OS might be good for you, especially with their new COSMIC desktop. However, I’ve found Fedora to be the best balance overall. I keep coming back to it every few months. I prefer GNOME for its touchpad support, but KDE has its fans too. Also, consider swapping out the default Fedora kernel for CachyOS for better performance later on!

Thanks for the insights! I’m between Fedora and Pop!_OS now. I love Mint but I'm worried about how well it handles the Framework's hardware.
