I have a low-spec PC with a dual-core Intel Celeron processor and 2GB of RAM (which I'm planning to upgrade to 8GB soon) along with a 256GB SATA SSD. Currently, it's running Windows 10, and the performance is really slow—clicking links feels painfully sluggish. Are there any lightweight Linux distros that would perform decently on this setup? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I’ve only tried Lubuntu on my 2GB setup and it worked well, so I'd recommend it. If you're open to it, you might also want to consider using Debian with XFCE or LXQT, as they can offer good performance on low specs.
Don't forget to check out Alpine Linux with LXDE, or ditch the desktop environment altogether and just use LXQT or MATE! These setups can help maximize the limited RAM you have.
Bodhi Linux is another good pick! It’s designed for low-resource environments, and I’ve heard good feedback from users with similar setups.
It really depends on what tasks you plan to do. Browsing the web might still be slow with only 2GB of RAM, but other non-web tasks should be fine. Some lightweight distros to consider are antiX, FunOS, Lubuntu, and Q4OS with Trinity. They tend to handle low specs pretty well, especially for basic functions!
If you're looking for lightweight options, Lubuntu and Linux Mint with the XFCE desktop are solid choices. Lubuntu is basically Ubuntu but with a lighter interface, making it stable and efficient. Mint with XFCE looks a bit dated, but it’s pretty functional. I’d lean towards Lubuntu if you want something even lighter!
MX Linux is also a great alternative. It’s quite user-friendly and works well on low-end hardware.
