Best Linux Distros for Beginners?

I have an Asus Vivobook Pro OLED with a 14-inch display, 256GB SSD, 8GB RAM (3000 MHz), and an Intel i5 11th gen processor. I've been using it since 2021, but I'm really tired of Windows 11 and the apps and files I can't delete. I want to switch to a Linux distro, but I'm not sure where to start. I know I shouldn't begin with Arch Linux due to its DIY nature. I'm looking for an easy-to-install distro that also allows me to customize it like I've seen people do with Arch. Thanks for your help! Also, sorry if my English isn't perfect or if this post is too long; it's my first time here!

I'd recommend starting with Linux Mint. It's super user-friendly and great for beginners. Not sure why you'd want to delete apps just for the sake of it, though! Most operating systems come with stuff you'll likely not use anyway. Just leave it if it doesn't bother you!

Thanks for the recommendations! Do you have a specific desktop environment in mind?
