I'm currently exploring Linux distros on my laptop and trying out Pop!_OS, but I'm not fully convinced yet. I'm relatively new to Linux and would love to hear what others recommend for a setup similar to mine. I have a Razer 14 with a Ryzen 6900HX CPU, an Nvidia 3070 Ti GPU, and 16GB of RAM. I've heard Pop!_OS is good for Nvidia graphics, but I'm curious about other options for running programs beyond just gaming. What distros do you think would work best for me?

If you're using an Nvidia GPU, Pop!_OS has a great dedicated installer that includes Nvidia drivers, making it easier to get started. Personally, I prefer Linux Mint for its user-friendly interface, but you might also want to check out Fedora for its stability or something more gaming-focused like CachyOS. Installing drivers can be a bit tricky depending on how hands-on you want to be, but for the least hassle, Pop!_OS is a solid choice!

I tried Mint on my desktop and had issues with games due to lagging Nvidia drivers. CachyOS is amazing for gaming; I love it!

I've been using Nobara with an Nvidia 4050, and it's pretty stable for everyday tasks. It's worth looking into!

Haha, sounds like you're really testing it out!

CachyOS ran smoothly on my Razer laptop without needing to install Nvidia drivers, so I definitely recommend giving it a try!

I've been hearing a lot about CachyOS lately, might have to check it out!

You could also try Manjaro with Cinnamon; it's really user-friendly and offers proprietary driver support right at the boot. It works well for productivity too!

If Pop!_OS is running fine for you, there's no need to switch. It’s a great distro, especially if you're coming from Windows. You'll get used to it in no time!

I've adjusted pretty well, but I might try Bazzite or Mint next since I've heard good things about them for beginners.
