I'm looking for some advice on which motherboard to pair with an Intel i7-14700K CPU for a computer build that will mainly focus on editing but will also handle gaming. I've already planned to get an RTX 5070 and 32GB of DDR5 RAM. I know Ryzen is great for gaming due to its cores and longevity, especially with the AM5 socket getting more updates, but I really need the extra cores Intel provides for my editing work. I also want to keep costs down since everything is super expensive where I live, so sticking with Intel seems more practical for me.

Are you going for DDR4 or DDR5?
No worries! Your CPU requires DDR5, so it should be clear.
For your editing needs, while I know you’re focused on cores, don’t forget about RAM; it could be your bottleneck depending on what you're working with. I recommend checking out the ASUS Prime B760 Plus motherboard. It strikes a nice balance without being too extravagant, but it lacks built-in Wi-Fi. If that’s important, there’s a Wi-Fi version available. Also, consider what features you really need—like how much I/O you want or whether you plan to overclock.
Thanks, I’ll look up the prices. I’m thinking of overclocking depending on whether I go with the 14700K or the 14700F; my budget will dictate that!

Sorry, I missed that—it’s DDR5.
