Hey everyone! I'm new to this PC building stuff and I'm looking to upgrade my HP Omen 25L from 16GB to 32GB of RAM. My motherboard is the Dorado 8704. I've been searching for compatible RAM and it seems super important to pick the right one. I currently have HyperX Fury DDR4, but I can't find a reasonable price for a new set (2x8GB) on eBay—only overpriced used ones. I'm considering either the Kingston Fury Beast 3200MHz or the Patriot Viper Steel. The Kingston looks safer but costs around £125, while the Patriot is much cheaper at £75. Any suggestions on where to check for compatibility, or thoughts on the best RAM to get? Thanks a ton!

Honestly, those prices seem pretty inflated for RAM. I'd recommend looking at local second-hand stores or setting up alerts for better deals online. It might take some time, but you could find a decent price for 32GB of DDR4 RAM. I'd say anything below £100 for good 32GB sets is reasonable!
Hey! First off, can you let us know what CPU you're using? That can help narrow down compatibility. Also, yeah, those prices are a bit steep for RAM right now. I've found that setting up alerts for sales on eBay and checking local marketplaces can really help you snag a better deal on second-hand RAM.
I’m using an i5-10400F!

Thanks for the feedback! What's usually a good standard for RAM prices?
