Best Resources for Learning Kubernetes from Scratch?

I'm starting my Kubernetes journey and am looking for the best resources to study from. I've been using the official documentation, but I feel like it's a bit overwhelming. I'm currently going through Sander Van Vugt's "Getting Started with Kubernetes," but it seems somewhat outdated. Any recommendations for up-to-date courses or books?

I found the KodeKloud CKA course on Udemy to be really helpful! They include plenty of hands-on labs that make the learning process much more interactive.

The book 'Kubernetes Up and Running' was my go-to when I started learning about 7 years ago. It's now in its third or maybe fourth edition. I also recommend setting up Minikube or KinD to practice. If you're not familiar with Docker yet, you might want to start there. There are tons of blogs and articles out there for a quick crash course, but don’t just read—hands-on experience is crucial for mastering Kubernetes!

Definitely make sure to include practical experience when learning! You could use Minikube, or try Kubernetes with Docker Desktop on Windows, or even set up a microk8s cluster on a couple of VMs. Just deploying a simple app will teach you loads. I had to learn from scratch when I took over a 30-node cluster, and it was quite the adventure!

Which do you think is better for running a multi-node cluster: WSL or a VM?
