Hey everyone! I'm new to the Linux world and I'm on the hunt for up-to-date resources that can help me learn the basics. I understand that hands-on experience is vital, especially when dealing with real issues on my system. I'm especially looking for suggestions beyond YouTube videos, as I'd prefer more interactive learning methods. I currently have one machine running Linux Mint and another on Debian, but I'm open to exploring other distributions if they're recommended for learning purposes. Thanks for any tips, my fellow Linux enthusiasts!

The best way to learn is just to dive in and start using Linux regularly! Try things out, experiment, and you’ll learn a lot as you go.

Check out the Linux Professional Institute's learning portal. If you dig deeper on their site, you'll discover textbooks and sample exams which can be super useful as you learn.

A great resource is your local library! Grab a Linux book there or dive into searching online to get familiar with the terminal. There’s a ton to learn, and using search engines to find specific topics can really boost your understanding. Good luck!

Consider looking into courses at your local community college or state university, especially if you're in the US. Many of them offer programs or certifications in IT, which can be a solid way to get structured learning.

You might find their official wiki really helpful, and they also have a Discord community where you can ask questions and share experiences. But the wiki is usually my go-to for learning resources!
