I'm handling a large volume of handwritten customer surveys each month and I'm looking for a tech solution or software that can process images or scans of these forms and accurately export the data into Excel without much manual effort. What options are available that could help with this?

You might want to check out Amazon Textract for your needs. There are alternatives from Google Cloud and Azure too, but I haven't personally tried them yet. Worth looking into!

It's really important to note that the quality of your input matters a lot. If you're dealing with handwritten surveys, it'll be tough for any software to accurately convert that into usable data. It's much better to collect the surveys digitally in the first place, so you avoid issues that come from misreading handwriting and potential errors in conversion.

Totally agree! Relying on machines to read handwriting can lead to lots of mistakes. Opting for a fully digital method is definitely the way to go.

If the handwriting is neat, you might be able to do it easily with Microsoft Lens. Just scan the forms and paste them directly into Excel!

High-end copiers can convert pages to PDF, but the accuracy of getting handwritten data into Excel from PDFs really depends on how neat the handwriting is. More details would help to guide this better!

I work for a company called Retab, and we've built a tool for exactly this purpose. You can upload image scans of your handwritten forms, define the necessary fields, and export everything neatly into Excel. It might be worth checking out at retab.com – I'd love your feedback!
