Best Udemy Courses for DevOps Beginners?

I've just wrapped up an internship where I got to learn the basics of Git—like adding, committing, pushing, pulling, and working with branches. I'm also pretty comfortable using Linux on a daily basis. Now, I'm eager to dive deeper into DevOps and I'm considering purchasing a course on Udemy. However, there are so many choices and mixed reviews that I could use some guidance on what might be worth my time and money.

Look for courses that focus on Kubernetes and Docker. They’re essential tools in the DevOps world, and starting with these will definitely set a solid foundation.

If you’re planning to go for Udemy, consider getting a subscription so you can access multiple courses. Just make sure to set a timeline to keep yourself on track and finish what you start!

Instead of focusing solely on course content, try to get hands-on experience with the tools and technologies you'd actually use in the field. Understanding principles like networking, Linux, Git, and DNS is crucial. In the end, no course can replace real-world experience.

Instead of buying another course you'll likely never finish, why not try building something on your own? It can be way more effective than just watching videos.

Exactly! Building real projects often sticks better than just studying.

There are a ton of free YouTube videos out there on DevOps. I’d recommend checking out Terraform and start creating modules for infrastructure on any cloud platform like AWS, GCP, or Azure. It’s a good way to learn as you build up a project, and Terraform can help you automate a lot of tasks.
