Hey everyone! I'm looking to upgrade my PC with the 9070XT graphics card this month, but I want to make sure I'm getting the most out of it. I'm planning to stick to a budget of around $500 for upgrades aside from the graphics card. Here are my current specs:
- CPU: Ryzen 7 5800X (8 Core)
- Motherboard: ASUS Tuf Gaming X570 Pro
- Cooler: Corsair Titan 360mm (top mounted)
- RAM: Corsair 32GB DDR4
- PSU: Corsair 650W
- Case: Deepcool 560 ATX Midtower
I realize I might have to bite the bullet and upgrade to AM5 due to the current state of prices. I'd love any suggestions or insights you have to maximize the performance of my new GPU!

Looks like you're in the same boat as a lot of us! I had a similar setup and decided to upgrade to the AM5 platform with a 7800X3D. It cost me about $650 with tax, but it'll future-proof my system for years. Since you're already thinking about AM5, it’s probably worth going that route rather than trying to squeeze more out of AM4. Just be prepared for some new components like RAM and possibly a new case!

I totally agree! I did the same upgrade and it really sets you up for the long haul. Don’t forget to check your PSU ratings too!
