Best Upgrade Options for My PC with a $500 Budget

I've got a work perk that lets me spend up to $500 on PC parts. My current setup is solid, but I want to make the most of this opportunity since I can only do this every four years. I mostly play games like Valorant, Overwatch, Clair Obscur, and WoW. I have a 1440p 165Hz monitor, and I also use a Meta Quest 2 for PCVR. Plus, I've been getting into 3D printing and using slicing software, and sometimes I do some photo editing with Gimp, but nothing too intensive. Here are my specs:
- RAM: 16GB 2400MHz
- CPU: Intel i7-10700k
- GPU: Nvidia 3060 Ti
- Motherboard: ASUS Prime B560-PLUS LGA1200
- Storage: 1TB NVME m.2 and 3TB of SSDs
I'm considering either upgrading my motherboard and CPU or just going for a GPU upgrade. What do you think is the best choice?

If you can find a good CPU and motherboard combo for around $600, that might be a smart investment. You could think about slapping a future GPU like the 5090 in there when prices drop. I have a similar setup with a 12900k and a 3060ti and I’m just waiting for better GPU prices before upgrading. You could go the same route!

Definitely check out places that have build suggestions or sales. Also, consider adding more RAM if you can!

I’d lean towards upgrading your GPU, especially since you're gaming at 1440p. You could look into getting a 16GB 5060ti or a 9060XT if you can keep everything under $500. If you can spend a bit more, options like the 7800XT or 9070 could also give you a significant boost.

Honestly, moving from a 3060ti to these isn’t a huge jump in performance, especially if you're already maxing out games like Valorant. Maybe consider investing in a better monitor instead!
